How to send a notice
Send your notice through our contact form. Please include:
- Your name and contact details (the form asks for an email so we can reply).
- A description of the copyrighted work.
- The exact URL(s) on our site where the material appears.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What we do
When we receive a complete notice, we'll remove or disable the material and, where we can, let the person who supplied it know.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice with: your contact details; the material removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or Santa Barbara County, California, if you're outside the U.S.) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant tells us they've filed a lawsuit.
Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make you liable for damages.
